Full Safari Description

Plan on a full day trip/safari to Ol Pejeta Park from Nairobi. Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Nairobi. Drive north through lush highlands of Mt. Kenya, where the local community grows coffee and tea. You will enjoy stunning views of Mt. Kenya on a clear day.

Morning Game Drive

We have an experienced guide who will offer thrilling game drive across diverse landscapes. He will help you to spot and to identify wildlife including rhinos, elephants, the northern corridor giraffes (reticulated), the northern corridor (Grévy's) zebra, warthogs, the rest of the big five and more.

If you're lucky, you may see elusive leopards or cheetahs stalking prey across the open plains. Ol Pejeta is also home to a healthy population of wild dogs and more than 350 bird species.

Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Head to Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can see rescued chimpanzees. After a walk along a raised boardwalk observing these intelligent primates and learning about their stories, you leave for lunch.

Lunch at Morani's Restaurant

Enjoy a delicious lunch at Morani's restaurant, located inside the park. They serve local and international dishes while overlooking the scenic plains. Alternatively, you can opt for a picnic lunch in a shaded, secure area within the park—perfect for guys who want to maximize game viewing time.

Afternoon Game Drive & Endangered Species Enclosure

After lunch, embark on your afternoon game drive. Visit the endangered species enclosure, home to the last living northern white rhinos on Earth known as Njin and Fatu at an extra cost. They are under 24 hours surveillance, with armed guards. This area also shelters endangered Grévy's zebra, Somalia ostrich and Jackson's hartebeest.

Return to Nairobi

As the sun begins to go down to horizons, it's time to say goodbye to the park and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi, passing by tea and coffee plantations along the way.
